Welcoming New Associate Partner, Paul Andresino
Paul Andresino, AIA, joined BKV Group in February as the Director of Architecture and Associate Partner in our Washington, D.C. office. In his new role, Paul will leverage his 30 years of experience in delivering projects and mentoring and managing staff. He will fold in his project management expertise to assist the DC office in executing the office’s architectural language and processes, enacting new quality control measures, spearheading professional development initiatives, and ensuring compliance of project deliverables, schedules, and budgets.
Paul most recently comes to BKV Group from Eric Colbert & Associates, where he had grown to be a facilitator of the profession of architecture; both with emerging staff and with top-end leadership. He has worked to build a close rapport with his clients, consultants, and contractors to create a richly collaborative and enjoyable work environment while delivering buildings on time and on budget. Specific successes can be seen in highly complex projects like the residential tower at West Half Street, across from the gates of Washington Nationals Park where Paul, in working with the client, JBG Smith, nimbly moved the project forward with a “one team mindset.”
Through his work, focused primarily on market-rate multifamily projects in DC proper, Paul has built a thorough understanding of the technical and regulatory side of the architectural profession in Washington. This allows him to holistically lead a project from start to finish. With every project he undertakes, Paul wants the client to know that he has the project’s best interest at the forefront, and they can trust him and his team members to get the job done right. While achieving high measures of project and team success, Paul still yearns to learn more, and is eager to build a collegial bond amongst BKV Group staff in being a go-to architectural resource, and the spokesperson for the project managers in the DC office. By maintaining consistency of communication with all architectural staff, Paul will ensure there is an abundance of cross-mentorship and cross-pollination of ideas to further grow our Washington, D.C. personnel and portfolio.
Within the industry, Paul is a frequent participant in the DC Building Industry Association (DCBIA), the AIA DC Chapter (DCAIA) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). Outside of work, Paul aspires to bring new meaning to “bike to work week” as a motorcycle enthusiast, aiming to safely bring his passion for biking to the DC office. In addition to two-wheeled transport, Paul is an avid dog lover. Paul holds a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree from Syracuse University.
Welcome to BKV Group, Paul!
