Quoting Kelly Naylor and Megan Van Beck in Student Housing Business
Kelly Naylor, Partner, and Megan Van Beck, Senior Associate, were quoted in the March/April issue of Student Housing Business magazine about recent interior design trends that impact student housing residences. Naylor and Van Beck were sources for the article, “Maturing Style,” which described shifting tastes among Generation Z students.
Naylor cited her work on the Collegiate, near the University of Cincinnati as a recent example. She said that inclusivity, authenticity, and connectivity were key drivers in her planning and design. Van Beck suggested the importance of understanding this new generation of students and letting that awareness inform design choices.
“Gen Z wants the place they live to support their goals educationally as well as socially,” Van Beck said. “If you look at them on Instagram, you can see they have their own brand. Interiors play a major part in that.”
